Description
Product Name : Hennessy XO Cognac 700mL
Taste Profile : The nose is bold, expressive, and multi-layered. It opens with deep notes of dried figs, prunes, and candied orange peel, followed by dark chocolate, clove, and cinnamon. A background of old leather, cedarwood, and toasted almonds adds further richness. Aromas evolve with time, revealing tobacco leaf, black pepper, and nutmeg. On the palate, Hennessy X.O is velvety, intense, and long-lasting. Initial sweetness of dried fruits and spiced dates quickly gives way to notes of bitter cocoa, toffee, and charred oak. The structure is built on layers of aged tannin, spice, and rancio—a characteristic of very old Cognacs—adding a dry, leathery complexity that lingers throughout. The mouthfeel is full-bodied and luxurious, with a fine balance between masculine depth and refined elegance. The finish is exceptionally long, dry, and warming, with lingering notes of clove, cinnamon, espresso bean, and wood resin. A subtle salinity and leathery nuance mark the final fade, reflecting decades of slow oak maturation.
Food Pairing : Dark chocolate, rich stews, strong cheeses
